A heavy-duty Steel Slag Recycling Machine that grinds steel slag to liberate trapped metallic iron and produce fine slag powder for cement and road base – turning a waste stream into saleable product.
General Introduction
Steel slag is the calcium-iron silicate by-product left after steelmaking, and it still contains 10-25% metallic iron trapped in a hard, abrasive matrix. The Steel Slag Recycling Machine tumbles the crushed slag with grinding media so the matrix fractures and the iron particles are freed for recovery.
Discharged slurry or dry powder then goes to magnetic separation, where the liberated iron is pulled out and the remaining non-metallic fraction is collected as ground slag – a pozzolanic powder suitable for cement, concrete admixture, and road construction.
Because slag is both hard and abrasive, the mill uses thick shells and Mn-steel liners built for continuous, high-load duty, letting steel plants close the loop on their slag instead of paying to dump it.
