Sawdust Rotary Dryer
A rotating drum dryer built for sawdust and wood flour – lifts and showers wet chips through hot air in a single drum so moisture drops from 40% to 12% for safe briquetting and pellets.
General Introduction
The sawdust rotary dryer is a purpose-built drum dryer for light, fluffy biomass. Wet sawdust is fed into a rotating, inclined drum where internal flights lift it into the hot air stream, showering it continuously so surface and bound moisture evaporate fast.
An induced-draft fan pulls the moist air and fine dust through a cyclone, returning most of the material while keeping the stack clean. Outfeed moisture is held at around 12%, the ideal level for briquette presses and pellet mills.
It pairs naturally with a hammer mill and a biomass burner, forming a compact sawdust drying line for wood pellet plants, charcoal kilns, and biomass power stations.
