General Introduction
The Raymond mill is a pendulum roller mill that has set the standard for fine dry grinding of non-metallic minerals for nearly a century. Material is scooped up by fast-spinning plows and flung under a ring of spring-loaded rollers that crush it against a rotating grinding ring.
The fine powder is carried by an air stream to an integral classifier; oversize falls back to the ring while on-spec product is collected in a cyclone or baghouse. A central shaft and uniform roller pressure give a consistent, narrow particle size.
Because it is a closed, air-swept loop, the Raymond mill is clean, dust-tight, and easy to control – the first choice for processing plants that need 80-400 mesh powder at low cost and high uptime.
